First of all, Happy Easter to all catholic believers! :)

Inspired from a video I saw on youtube ( click HERE if you want to see it), I decided to make my own Easter bunny cake. Using simple ingredients and eatable decorations, in just a few minutes this is what came out.. So excited :D

Just because they're different from us doesn't mean they're not like us!

A few weeks ago, randomly, while having a conversation with my friend, I learned she was helping her class mates (voluntarily) to paint the walls of a new opened center here in my town, a center for special kids. I wanted to help, so I asked her if I could join. Certainly, she said yes and all of a sudden it was just the four of us and some basic colors. All we had to do was to transform those white walls into colorful ones, with children's favourite cartoon characters! :)
Won't deny it, I had so much fun, because I finally had a reason to wake up early on weekends and simply because helping others is always fun.

DIY dyed Easter eggs

Easter's coming sooner than usually this year for catholics.
In this Easter eve, profiting from this days off I've got from school, I decided to dye today my Easter eggs. Easter got me so excited this year, that I wanted to do everything by myself. This is the result! Not bad for a starter, huh?

DIY-golden double necklace

I never throw anything away, I always recycle, and if I don't recycle I wait until they're in for the next seasons. That's something I've learned from my grandma, fashion always revolves, returns and repeats itself. (That's why she's been saving up all her clothes for all these years.)
This time, I undid all the necklaces I wouldn't use anymore and gathered them in one only piece. So this is what came out, a golden- double necklace.

St. Patrick's day

Happy St. Patrick's day!

It's not like we celebrate it here in Albania, but however I decided to get all dressed in green today, even though I wasn't lucky enough to find a three-leaved shamrock..

Dita e verës-Summer day

Dita e verës known as the summer day is an ancient pagan feast, originally created in
Elbasan, which is my hometown. Even though it's now a national feast, we are the ones who still celebrate it rigorously.
In this day we all wear verore, which is a swirled bracelet made of two threads, a red and a white one. In two weeks we take it off and hang it in a rose branch, so that swallows can take it and use it as a construction material for their nests. This is considered as good luck.
Cooking ballokume is another tradition of this feast. In other cities people buy them in stores, but in Elbasan, we still cook them by ourselves. Then we exchange them with relatives and friends.
Important thing of the day: Lunch with family at your place!

Moscopole_Fifi's birthday

On the occasion of her 18th birthday, my best friend invited us on a one day trip to Voskopoje (Moschopolis/Voskopolis,Moscopole), a mountainous village about 3 hours away by car. We got there yesterday morning and waited the whole day for her birthday to come..
A drawing of us two in the window of our van.

B-day surprises!

Enjoy this two surprise videos we prepared for our best-friend's birthday while I'll be uploading pictures of the one day trip we took to celebrate it! The first one is a fast moving-pictures short movie with some special dedications and the second one is a video I made with drawings from our everyday life events and inside jokes that most probably nobody will get! However I hope you like them, because she sure did!
The final picture of our video and it says "Happy  birthday!"

DIY tangled turban

There was this scarf, that I would rarely wear, in my closet. I really liked the pattern so I had this crazy idea of turning it into a headband. I'm really satisfied with the result and I hope you like it too.

Our new friend.. Shila

This is my best friend's new dog, Shila. It's a 3-months-old baby girl, and it's always sleepy. She's such a cutie! I don't usually like dogs, I prefer cats better, but I love this one..

March 7th

Since the opening of the first albanian school in March the 7th 1878, this day is still a national feast in the honor of our teachers. In this day, we present them with flowers or gifts, usually symbolic ones.
We tried to be as creative as possible this time because this is our last year in this school. We want to be always remembered.
I guess they liked them, as they shed tears of joy from excitement and astonishment. :)

Spring-ish

Even though it's not warm enough, it's finally spring. This season reminds me of sunny days, picnics, flying birds and of course flowers, lots and lots of flowers. This is why I chose today to give myself a manicure with a floral pattern.
