Parlement européen et Conseil d'Europe..

More than a week and I still hadn't seen the EU institutions in Strasbourg. Today was sunday and as you might already know everything here is closed for today. So as we had nothing better to do, we decided to visit them just today. :)

La Petite-France

Salut à tous..

My french life so far consists in visiting the city, listening to different conversations and even participating sometimes and finishing some urgent businesses as long as I still have my dad here.

They say Strasbourg is a small city, but it's not as much as they say.. In this 4 days I haven't seen enough yet, I have lots of other tourist attractions to visit.

Today we went to see La Petit-France, which is located in the central Strasbourg, nearby the Rhine river.

Day 2..

Hello again..

Since today is Sunday (you don't say!! lol), everything here is closed.. Yeah, I'll have to get used to that, happens every week, no exceptions.. There were some stores that were closed even on mondays.. WEIRD!

Given that we had no other choice but walking around the city, so that I could learn the streets too. We walked by the river, visited the Cathedral of Strasbourg and so. We also tried the beer here, which is awesome and you can also find it in different flavours, mint for example. As for the coffee, France, you're doing it wrong!

On the road

Greetings from France!

After a long and tiring road trip I finally did it..
I'm right here, sitting on the couch I'll be sleeping this year, writing from a laptop I don't even own, while trying to help my father put together the pieces of my IKEA closet that we just got delivered. Seems like there's no rest for us.
I won't be posting until I'm totally stabilized in here, which I guess will take a while.. I can't wait to snap some pictures in this lovely city.. I haven't seen much but I love it so far. I loved it on Google Earth, I love it now!

As about the trip, went we to Ancona, Italy by ferry, and from Italy to Strasbourg by car. Why didn't we choose to go by plane?! One word: luggage!
But the sleepy eyes and tiredness was worth the view..

...

Long time no write but I've had really busy days. You might not know, but I'm leaving tomorrow for Strasbourg, France. You know, study reasons. What else!
I wasn't expecting to leave this early in fact, I was thinking of something like August 20th or perhaps September 1st, but it's for the best anyway.

I've always dreamed of France, ever since I was little.. I'm not sure anymore if this love was kinda inducted from my parents, or if it was my own choice, or even a mixture. But I guess it doesn't matter anymore, I mean who doesn't love France?
And all these years of french courses, illusions and daydreams finally paid off. However, at the time I received the admission letter (when I almost broke into tears) and got my visa, I wasn't even thinking of my current pre-homesickness, I was so overjoyed at the time. I would have never imagined that I would get sad because of my departure, something I've always dreamed of. But that's how it works, life's weird, makes you emotional at the toughest situations.
Tomorrow a new life starts for me, away from home, family and lovers. It all starts from 0. I have to redo what I've done here so far, for people there to know who the real me is.
And the saddest part is that I'm gonna miss home so much, especially mum. You know what they say, home is wherever mom is.

Well, A word too much always defeats its purpose! I have lots of things and worries going through my mind but I don't want to share them with anyone but me. So I have nothing else to say, besides wishing myself a nice and safe trip..
And I really hope I don't fail this one, otherwise I would disappoint lots of people who have faith in me..
